HITNRUN HAS REFORMED!

HEY ALL!

It has taken more years than I care to count. More time and sweat than we ever thought we had. But we have finally found a new lineup to carry on the name HITNRUN!

To the gentlemen that comprised the original band of brothers, we couldn't have gotten here without you and your talent. Now amazingly, we have a chance to carry on as a band once again!

It is my honor to introduce the new roster...

JEREMY AGUIAR ON BASS

Jeremy Aguiar, a veteran of the Lehigh Valley music scene, joins us on bass, bringing both his tasteful playing and strong backing vocals to HitnRun. Jeremy recently played with the alt-rock back Gifthorse and is a current member of modern hard rockers The Beautiful Distortion who were winners of the 2016 WZZO Backyard Bands Competition.

PETE FRY ON GUITAR

Pete Fry completes our twin guitar attack, bringing his fretboard talents and years of experience in the international hard rock scene to the band. Pete is a former member of Rockarma and currently plays guitar in Jaded Past and Farcry. He has shared stages with some of the biggest hard rock touring acts here in the States and performed at several European melodic hard rock festivals over the years.

ROBERT "TEX" LAZENBERY ON DRUMS

Robert "Tex" Lazenbery is an accomplished drummer and percussion instructor over the last 25+ years. He has led both outdoor and indoor marching percussion ensembles to both regional and national championships, while also bringing the metal as the drummer in Metallica tribute act, "MetalliCON". Tex not only lays down the big grooves in HitnRun, but also adds yet another powerful voice on harmonies and backing vocals.

So there they are my friends....a new crew to carry us into a new year....be ready for some great things to come.

Now a quick shoutout to our new rehearsal spot:

THANK YOU MELANIE FALLON!

Morning!

Yesterday we had the honor of having in my opinion one of the great rock voices of our time sing on our tracks!

Melanie Fallon http://www.fallonsreligion.com has been in the biz a long time and she kicked ass behind the mic ofcourse...The heart and professionalism she showed was as inspiring as her voice.

Her album rocks hard so do yourself a favor and pick it up:

Back in the saddle again...

Hey folks!

After the long delay i have finally gotten back behind the (very expensive) mic....Knocked the first two lead vocals out of the first two tunes for the EP.  Next are choruses and harmonies and assorted vocal flourishes.

My nerves were shot, as were my vocal cords! But with the help of about a gallon of throat coat i managed to get it done...

Jare kicked ass on the solo for the song "feel it" as you can see as well....

Kevin Soffera was just amazing as usual....really made me feel at home and helped me over my issues.

Visiting the old studio..

Morning all!

A week or so ago i had the chance to visit scenic SCRANTON PA for the first time in over two decades im guessing....

I stopped by the location of where we recorded our first demo cassette with Tom and Sound investments studio.

Such a sad thing seeing the street that it was on, a once bustling downtown location...well lol...bustling for Scranton....But now its just another dead building on a dead street with what was the most surprising thing...a dead mall....Steamtown.

Atleast the building hasnt been torn down yet.

GREG SMITH BABY!!

OK Folks,

Last night I had the absolute pleasure to meet and work with  the amazing Greg Smith...Words cant express the talent and authenticity of this man...Just a great guy and all round pro. He has elevated our tunes to levels we have not yet thought could be possible. Whats even more amazing is that he will be with is for the remainder of our EP.

Greg is currently the Bassist / Vocalist for Ted Nugent.  Greg has also been the bassist, and backing vocals for such artists as Billy Joel, Alice Cooper, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Alan Parsons Project, Crystal Bowersox, Blue Oyster Cult, Dokken, Graham Bonnett, Over the Rainbow, Tommy James & the Shondells, The Turtles, Chuck Negron, Felix Cavaliere, Mitch Ryder, Denny Laine, Joey Molland, Vinnie Moore, Joe Lynn Turner, Van Helsing's Curse, O2'L and Wendy O. Williams. Greg was also the principal bassist and backing vocals for the Tony Award winning Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp musical "Movin Out" for it's entire 3 year run on Broadway and 1 year on the road.

JOHNNY DEE BABY!!

Well there it is....things are really getting real it seems.

Our return to the studio has been a milestone for more than one reason. Not only are we (Jareth and Eric) tracking once again for the first time in many years, but we were also joined by one of the most amazing human beings that ever lived...Johnny Dee  *from wikipedia* He is best known for being a member of the glam metal band Britny Fox, and as a member of Doro Pesch's band since 1993. In the past Dee played in the bands Mariah and Waysted, as well as collaborated with artists such as Blaze Bayley and guitarist Jack Frost.

He came in and was the coolest and nicest guy. We ofcourse talked at length about how much we love his music and have been fans for decades. Then he sat down behind the drumkit and i was amazed to say the least...

The man sat there for over three hours....WITH NO BREAKS!  just kicking ass and blowing our minds...TOTAL professional to put it mildly. Seeing a hero of mine truly live up to his hype is very much a high point in my life. Not to mention the fact that he was playing our tune lol.....

So it seems that we are on track to do something great here if the first session with Johnny is any indication. We have more to record with him as well as other special guests on the way.

Thats all for now from me, Eric (your friendly neighborhood singer)

Logo Ideas!

Hi all!

First off, Thank you for all the kind words Jare. Lets not forget the beginnings of those song ideas i was working with. The most important part of the song structure was the "riff". Jare and Mark would come to me with amazing guitar ideas and quite frankly the tunes wrote themselves after that point. I was for the most part along for the ride lol.....

Now for the reason for this post. Jare and I decided we might want to shake things up with our logo. The last album was a departure from the original album logo because the first one i designed when i was the tender age of 22? Just looked soooo dated....

I.E.

Ok....so that was a thing....So i thought we needed a little bit of an update...This was as most of you know the one that made the final cut for our Lions Pride release last year...

We have the red color and the block lettering because i wanted to make a bold statement. We are HITNRUN! WERE BACK! so deal with THAT! lol.....

Now that we have made that statement..Its time to start to try to tell the story of our band in just one graphic.

Here is the current front runner and my personal fave...maybe we will have a facebook vote or something but this really hits a chord with us at the moment...

More refined...More style...MORE METAL!! lol.....To reflect our current state of mind. At least i hope so!

So there it is...There is so much going on with our current album and record company that i cant really touch on at this time here but rest assured...we will rise stronger than before folks...

Thats the update from uncle Eric...Thank you all for reading this blog folks...as always its our fans that keep us going..
